We suggest you go through this prior to Inspections/Open Home.

Front Entrance and Outside

• Sweep footpath and shake out doormat
• Make sure there aren't any cobwebs
• Remove overhanging branches from walk ways
• Keep lawn and landscaping trimmed

Living Room / Family Room

• Stow away newspapers, magazines, books, games, toys and video
• Straighten up coffee table, bookshelves and other areas
• Vacuum upholstered furniture ; wipe down leather an vinyl
• Dust surfaces (including TV Screen)
• Wipe down ceiling fan blades

Kitchen

• Clean appliances, reduce clutter
• Wipe counter tops and cabinets
• Clean fridge on front and sides/remove fridge magnets, etc.
• Clean and dry sink
• Stow away dish rack, kitchen sponge and dish towels
• Use room deodoriser and/or run exhaust fan to remove cooking odours.
• Freshly brewed coffee and biscuits

Bedrooms

• Make Beds
• Stow away shoes, laundry, clothes, books, clothes and toys
• Tidy up wardrobe and minimise clutter on surfaces

Bathrooms

• Wipe wet shower stalls and bath tubs
• Put out fresh flowers and soap
• Empty waste baskets
• Clean sinks, mirrors and taps
• Stow away laundry

Home Office / Study

• Have internal shots of house on screen saver
• Straighten out desk and book shelves
• Stow away files and papers
• Dust surfaces including computer screen
• Polish cabinets and woodwork

General - every room

• Open blinds/curtains to maximise natural light
• Clean fly screens
• Open windows half an hour prior
• Mop and vacuum floors
• Clean doors and windows
• Have classical or relaxing music
• Turn on all lights, if necessary clean light fittings and replace globes
• Turn on ceiling fans gently creating a breeze
• Arrange fresh flowers and fruit
• Open doors to rooms ¡V use door stoppers if wind is likely to close them
• Put away any small valuable items
• Make sure pets are safely secured
• Put excess clutter into cupboards or laundry baskets so they can be stowed in the car boot during inspections
